Antonios Dimopoulos, MD

Antonios Dimopoulos, MD is a fellowship-trained oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in cosmetic eyelid surgery, eyelid and facial reconstruction, orbital surgery, and tear drainage disorders. He provides advanced surgical care for patients with both functional and aesthetic concerns involving the eyes and surrounding facial structures.

Dr. Dimopoulos completed his Doctor of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he graduated with numerous academic honors, including the Excellence in Ophthalmology Award and the Dean's Outstanding Student Award. He then completed an Internal Medicine preliminary internship followed by an Ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident and received multiple awards for academic excellence and excellence in medical education. He went on to complete a prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship, the nation's highest level of subspecialty training in oculoplastic surgery.

His clinical interests include cosmetic upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), eyelid and facial reconstruction following Mohs surgery for skin cancer, reconstruction after facial trauma, orbital fracture repair, thyroid eye disease, orbital tumors, eyelid disorders, and tear drainage disorders. He is dedicated to restoring both function and appearance through individualized treatment plans using the latest reconstructive and cosmetic surgical techniques.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dimopoulos has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery and has presented his research at national and international conferences. His work reflects his commitment to advancing the field through innovation, education, and research. Dr. Dimopoulos believes that every patient deserves compassionate, personalized care.
