Eligibility for Neuropathy Treatment

The majority of those suffering from neuropathy are eligible for decompression surgery. Once neuropathic symptoms begin to manifest, it is important that you seek professional care as soon as possible to mitigate further damage. Generally, a good candidate has pain in a specific area that has lasted more than three months and has not responded to milder forms of treatment.

If you are a smoker or are currently pregnant, decompression surgery may not be the best option for you.

To qualify for treatment, patients must:

  • Have a diagnosis of Neuropathy
  • Have a BMI of 40 or less
  • Be 75 years of age or younger
