Dr. Michael Rose Named Chief of Plastic Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center
The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction at The Plastic Surgery Center Surgeon Appointed to Position
Dr. Michael Rose has been named Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC). The new title is in conjunction with his work as a member of the Center for Treatment of Paralysis and Reconstructive Nerve Surgery, also located at JSUMC.
Dr. Rose, a member of the Institute for Advanced Reconstruction at The Plastic Surgery Center in New Jersey, is double board certified both in plastic surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, respectively. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
For eight consecutive years since 2006, Dr. Rose has been recognized as a peer-determined Castle Connolly Top Doctor for the New York Metropolitan area. He has been widely published in medical journals, and featured in major local and national media. Dr. Rose has been a board member of The Cancer Support Community of the Jersey Shore since 2008.
Dr. Rose, whose specialties include innovative nerve surgery for neuropathy, has been affiliated with JSUMC since 2002. He is currently also serving as the co-Chief of the Hand Surgery Division at JSUMC.
